In the other room Stanley noticed that Ann still hadn’t come over yet, so he finished untying the side he was on and went to go look for her. He went into the other room and found her and the guy. Stanley quickly pulled her away and screamed, “Stay away from her!” While he was doing that, he didn’t notice the other men had returned and were running into the other room that Julian was in. While Julian was picking Sara up, the men ran in and plunged a pole through his chest, impaling Sara as well. Stanley and Ann knew it was the end for Julian and Sara, so they immediately started running down the hall. Stanley and Ann made it out of the hide out and booked it for the camp- site. They were praying that Jimmy and Sally made it to get help. As they were running, Ann tripped over the wire that Julian found earlier and down came a piece of wood with nails in it and hit her right in the shoulder. With no time to spare, Stanley grabbed the wood and ripped it out of her arm as fast as it went in and off they ran. Ann’s adrenaline being so high, she was more worried about her and Stanley making it back before the other guys caught up to them. They made it all the way to the campground and saw Sally and Jimmy dead, laid out on top of the now-collapsed tents, each bearing a stab wound to their chest. As Ann started to panic, Stanley grabbed the first aid kit he brought, then grabbed her hand and they started running in the direction of their car. After about 10 minutes of running, Ann started to really feel the pain of the nail holes and stumbled. Stanley moved her into the woods off the path, and they found a large rock and some bushes to hide behind. While they were hiding, Stanley grabbed the first aid kit so he could address her shoulder. He cut the part of her shirt off that was sticking to the wound to find two nails stuck in her skin. He quickly removed his shirt and knotted it up so she could bite on it so she didn’t draw attention to the men hunting them. Anne bit down really hard while Stanley pulled the nails out. Once he removed them, he let her breathe for a moment and then added some disinfectant. After that, he wrapped it all nice and tight to try to stop the bleeding. Ann tried to keep from passing out.
