What is your long-term vision for a course like mine under your management?
Our long-term vision is a healthy, stable, and enduring partnership built around the vision established by the Board and membership. Success means KemperSports has seamlessly integrated into the club, operations are consistent and sustainable, and the club is well-positioned for the future. We are not proponents of change for the sake of change. Our role is to support and execute the Board’s vision, using our experience and resources to strengthen the club operationally, financially, and culturally, while preserving what makes Royal Oaks unique.
How much direct involvement and decision-making authority will we, as the owners, retain regarding key strategic and operational matters?
The Board retains full authority. KemperSports’ role is to execute your vision and provide structure, accountability, and professional oversight.
We will prepare and present budgets, operating plans, and recommendations for Board approval, allowing the Board to step away from day-to-day details if desired. Major decisions such as capital expenditures, senior management hiring, policies, and strategic initiatives remain firmly under Board control. KemperSports acts as a partner and advisor, not a replacement for governance.
Can you provide a 90-day and a one-year operational plan for our property, outlining your priorities for agronomy, food & beverage, marketing, and staffing?
We will provide a detailed 90-day and one-year operational plan; however, it would be premature to do so prior to visiting the property, completing a comprehensive financial and operational review, and meeting with the Board to fully understand the club’s goals and priorities. If selected, developing these plans will be an immediate priority and a key early deliverable to the Board. This ensures the plans are thoughtful, informed, and aligned with the vision of Royal Oaks rather than based on assumptions.
