Every year, we celebrate the birth of Jesus at Christmas time. Maybe you know the story—the baby who was born to a virgin, wrapped in swaddling clothes, and laid in a manger. But don’t miss this: The story you’ve heard your whole life can bring you new life. My hope and prayer for this year? That this familiar story comes alive in a new way so that each of us can truly experience the peace, hope, and love of Jesus. The Christmas story reminds us that God is near—then, now, and always.
