Set to arrive in Ireland in late 2024, Opel’s new Grandland is available with hybrid, plug-in hybrid and fully electric powertrains, showcasing Opel’s Greenovation philosophy. This philosophy prioritises reducing carbon footprint through emissions-free credentials, recyclable batteries and sustainable interior materials. James Brooks, Managing Director of Opel Ireland, said, “The new Grandland is a key model for us, arriving in a crucial segment, just ahead of the 251-registration period. It perfectly embodies Opel’s three pillars: modern German, detox and Greenovation.” The Grandland introduces several industry-firsts, including an illuminated Opel Blitz logo with Edge Light technology in the 3D Vizor and energy-
efficient LED headlights. The rear features illuminated OPEL lettering and an embossed Grandland name, marking Opel’s shift away from chrome elements. Inside, the Grandland features Intelli-Seats made from 100% recycled materials, with vegan and Alcantara trims also incorporating

The architecture can integrate a particularly flat battery pack with a battery capacity of up to 98kWh, offering up to 700km locally emissions- free without stopping to charge. The batteries are part of Opel’s circular economy, with a focus on repair, remanufacture, reuse and recycling. The Grandland is built on Stellantis’ new STLA medium platform, tailored for electric vehicles and includes a highly efficient heat pump to optimise range in cold weather.

Citroën launches new Berlingo Dispatch and Relay models
Updated versions of its popular van range, including the Berlingo, Dispatch and Relay, have been introduced by Citroën as it aims to strengthen its market position. Starting prices are €27,770 for the Berlingo, €36,195 for Dispatch and €35,295 for Relay, with financing available from €333/month. The Berlingo Van now boasts a revamped design, advanced driver safety features and enhanced on-board technology for improved comfort. Available in 4.4m and 4.75m lengths, it offers up to 4.4 cubic metres of load space and a one-tonne payload. The interior has been modernised with a 10in touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus Advanced Emergency
Braking and other safety features. The Dispatch gets a new front- end design, LED headlamps and an optimised bumper for better aerodynamics. The cabin has been upgraded with additional storage, a redesigned dashboard and a new steering wheel with integrated controls. Offered in two lengths, it provides up to 6.6 cubic metres of volume and a 1,275kg payload, with enhanced safety as standard. The Relay’s front has been redesigned for a robust look and improved aerodynamics, with LED headlamps and a reinforced bumper. The interior features a digital instrument cluster, a larger central screen and enhanced ergonomics. With six body styles and
volumes from 10 to 17 cubic metres, it caters to a wide range of professional needs.
