BANGOR-BASED HANOVER SYSTEMS BRINGS A PERSONAL TOUCH AS WELL AS BESPOKE AND MULTI-PRODUCT SOLUTIONS TO PROJECTS FROM DESIGN THROUGH TO DELIVERY… Powering projects across the UK and Ireland

Spanning from education, hospital and infrastructure projects across the island of Ireland to the world-renowned Claridge’s hotel in London, Hanover Systems’ portfolio of prestigious power projects continues to grow. Based in Bangor, the innovative company specialises in HV and LV power distribution, total building control, automatic meter reading and energy efficiency solutions. A privately-owned business, Hanover Systems brings a personal touch as well as bespoke and multi-product solutions to projects from design through to delivery. Recent high-profile projects include The Ewart, a landmark building at Bedford Square in Belfast, where Hanover Systems worked closely with Antrim Electrical & Mechanical Engineers Ltd to supply all switchgear for the site. The company used Schneider Electric components in the main switchboard and Hager switchgear from its Invicta 3 and h3 ranges. All boards were fitted with galvanised trunking, surge protection and multifunction metering. Hanover also installed MCCB panel boards, distribution boards and final circuit protection devices, creating bespoke solutions suitable for the very compact switch room serving a 16-storey office tower. Getting involved in the project at an early stage resulted in a smooth

installation. The Hager Invicta 3 range was also installed by Hanover Systems in another recent project, LIV Student Accommodation building on York Street in Belfast. Working closely with main contractor NUGENT, the company installed sub- distribution MCCB panel boards, TP&N distribution boards and SP&N consumer units within each student room. It also installed MCCB panel boards C/W multifunction metering and surge protection (pre-wired), distribution boards C/W multifunction metering and surge protection (pre-wired) and consumer units contractor controlled (pre-wired). A further high-profile appointment in Belfast, meanwhile, was the Grand Opera House restoration project alongside M&E engineer William Coates Ltd. Hanover Systems provided and fitted bespoke MCCB panel boards, distribution boards and final circuit protection devices for the challenging project, with all boards fitted with galvanised trunking arrangements, surge protection and multifunction metering. A listed building subject to tight planning controls, the Grand Opera House project faced strict constraints around the use of modern technology. However, Hanover Systems rose to the challenge, designing and manufacturing

bespoke solutions to meet the specification.

It used Hager switchgear from its Invicta 3 and h3 ranges, as well as surge protection throughout to protect stage lighting equipment. With an experienced team of staff on board offering more than 130 years of combined experience, Hanover Systems has also serviced airports, data centres, retail, factories, churches and government facilities. Hanover Systems’ portfolio of recent projects includes: • Ulster Hospital

• Galway University Hospital • Northern Regional College • Northern Ireland Water • BT Openreach • Claridge’s London • Dunluce Lodge • Belfast International Airport
