National Electrical Wholesalers (Irl) Limited has appointed Dan Fisher as chief executive officer, set to take up the post in January. A well-known figure in the industry, Dan has worked for Core Distribution for the last 20 years and is deputy chairman of the Irish Electrical Benevolent Association. “This appointment marks a new chapter aimed at accelerating our growth, strengthening our relationships with customers, suppliers and expanding our business opportunities. It will also allow us to implement structures to keep pace with plans for further growth. “Dan will be responsible for the day- to-day running of the company. I will work closely with Dan to help him settle into the role and over time, Dan will take on the full role of leadership. Belfast MD crowned Woman of the Year at UK fire safety awards
Angela Bennett, Joint Managing Director of Belfast-based Diamond Systems, has been awarded Woman of the Year at the UK Women in Fire Safety Awards held in London on September 12. The accolade joins previous wins at the UK Women in Security Awards 2020 and Northern Ireland Institute of Directors Awards in 2019, where she picked up Director of the Year in both the Family Business and SME categories. A mother of two, Angela co-manages Diamond Systems, a family-run business specialising in fire and security solutions,
with her brother Stephen Snoddon. She recently completed a part-time Master’s degree in Business Improvement from Ulster University. The Woman of the Year category was sponsored by the Association for Specialist Fire Protection. Diamond Systems has become a trusted name in fire and security solutions across the UK and Ireland.
