THE KLAUKE EKSD50ML MICRO STRIPPING TOOL PROVIDES ENOUGH POWER TO STRIP CABLES OF ANY INSULATION TYPE AND THICKNESS FROM 6SQMM UP TO 35SQMM…
Stripping PV cables with ease
Many types of manual cable stripping tools are available, but the majority are only suitable for up to 10sqmm. What about sizes above that, or where the insulation cable jacket is a tough material, particularly thick or even double layered? Ideal for tough DC 4sqmm and 6sqmm PV cable insulation, a new cable stripping solution offered by Klauke, the EKSD50ML, could be just the answer you’re looking for. Based on its highly successful Micro crimping tool, which is power assisted by a 10.8V battery, its electro-mechanical drive unit provides enough power to strip cables of any insulation type and thickness from 6sqmm up to 35sqmm. A cable length stop enables strip lengths to be set and each result is the same as the last – perfect for production set-
ups or where consistency is important. A dedicated stripping die set is used in the jaws which, when operated, cuts through the insulation around 360 degrees and strips the set length. The design of the blades further ensures no damage to any of the strands of the core – maintaining that all important cable current carrying capacity. Integrated into the stripping die is a cable cutter, enabling the cut and strip to be achieved without changing tools. Offering a safe method of stripping larger cables and eliminating open blades, the Klauke EKSD50ML is supplied in a kit with dies from 10-35sqmm covering most applications, and a 6sqmm die available separately.
