The PwC Flying Start degree programmes offer students the opportunity to start their career and gain a degree at the same time. The Accounting Flying Start degree programme lasts four years and is designed to fast-track participants’ careers in business and accounting. In years two and three students will spend 16 weeks on a paid placement in PwC. In their fourth year they will complete a final longer placement of 20 weeks. The programme puts participants on track to become an ICAEW Chartered Accountant, completing 80% of the required exams on the degree, leaving them just over a year away from the full qualification once they graduate. As an apprentice on the Business Management Flying Start degree programme, most of the week will be spent working in the business and learning on-the-job. Apprentices will attend university once a week studying towards a Bachelor of Science with Honours, in ‘Leading on Customer Operations’ at Ulster University Business School.
