Rolls-Royce has been a force for progress for over 100 years, developing critical technologies to power movement across air, sea and land. They have designed the world’s most efficient large aero-engine, powered nuclear submarines, and even supported NASA missions in space. Rolls-Royce operates in 48 countries and employs over 40,000 people. At Rolls-Royce, apprentices can develop advanced engineering, manufacturing, scientific, digital, or business skills, while working with industry experts and being part of world-leading work. Opportunities are available in each of these specialist areas: Business Management, Commercial, Digital and Technology Solutions, Electrical and Electronics, Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Excellence, Materials Engineering, Non-Destructive Testing Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Project Management, Quality Engineering Management, Software Engineering and Supply Chain Management. Each programme typically lasts between 3 and 5 years and apprentices gain a fully-sponsored Honours degree on completion (plus a Level 7 CIMA Award for Finance). The way each programme is structured varies, but will include on the job learning through placements, alongside studying for a degree. Alongside that, apprentices will have the support of peers, managers, mentors, and leaders. Plus, lots of other development opportunities to get involved in, from becoming a STEM ambassador with local schools, to learning almost anything through their online platform, Leatro. While some programmes require qualifications in a STEM subject, others are open to any subject. Personal qualities are just as important, so Rolls-Royce looks for people who are genuinely enthusiastic, keen to learn, grow, and share ideas.
