White & Case is a global law firm of more than 2,500 lawyers working in an unrivalled network of offices. Their depth of local market knowledge and global capabilities define who they are. Their innovative approach means they create original solutions to their clients’ most complex cross-border deals and disputes. Launch into Law is White & Case’s new solicitor apprenticeship programme. It’s for bright, determined and confident school leavers who want to start their career at a leading global law firm without having to go to university. Over the course of six years, Launch into Law apprentices earn a salary while studying, and gain all the experience needed to make their mark at the firm. Apprentices spend four days a week working in the White & Case City of London offices, and one day studying at The University of Law. Upon completion, they will be awarded an LLB (Hons) Legal Practice Skills and complete the Solicitors Qualifying Examinations. Each apprentice will graduate ready to start their career as a newly qualified solicitor, with the unbeatable experience of working as a commercial lawyer in the City of London. Participants rotate through multiple different practice groups, gaining a hands- on understanding of what White & Case do for their clients around the world and how they do it. From day one, apprentices are welcomed into friendly teams, working side-by-side with lawyers on real client work – often the matters that make the business headlines. Apprentices get exposure to exciting real work, deadlines and practical legal knowledge across different parts of the business, providing an excellent foundation for their future as lawyers. Expect to build a fantastic network of friends and colleagues and develop the professional and personal skills needed for success.
