JULY 2025
I never thought I would go from protecting companies from hackers to attacking cooking grease. But here I am, side by side with my family. We are removing years of grease and grime, thinking, “This is where we belong.” Cleaning Pros Plus began because we wanted to create a company that helps restaurants sparkle and create a safe and welcoming atmosphere for their employees and customers. I have a master’s degree in Information Technology with experience in telecommunications management and cybersecurity consulting, working with companies like Netflix, Little Caesar’s Pizza, the NFL, and Chase Bank. After 10 years of traveling upwards of 100,000 miles a year, I was tired of the grind and decided to start a business. So, we purchased a franchise that cleans deep fryers and recycles cooking oil. Helping restaurants extend their oil lifespan, saving money, improving food consistency, and increasing employee safety and morale. Restaurants began asking if we clean exhaust systems, and we realized it was a critical service need for our clients. From our first restaurant in June 2023, we’ve grown very quickly and built our team. We wanted to create something rescission-resilient and continue to expand our services as needs arise. Restaurant exhaust systems are complex; there are many nooks and crannies where grease can build up. Many companies in our market are just a guy with a pressure washer, a truck, some plastic, and a few cleaning tools. Many times, we get under the “hood” and discover that previous cleaning companies performed a superficial cleaning, but not reducing the risk of fire. At Cleaning Pros, we believe that good work leads to success. We are not the low-cost leader, but we offer exceptional services at a reasonable price. We follow the National Fire Protecton Association (NFPA) 96, “Ventilation Control and Fire Protection of Commercial Cooking Operations,” and we are the only company in the Central Valley certified by the International Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning Association (IKECA). We are a family business. We have six children in our blended family — three boys and three girls — so you could call us the “Brady Bunch.” My wife Patricia is my grounding and has listened to me vent as a form of pillow talk many nights. She is that sweet voice of reason with a calming smile. She and our son Samuel are troopers and scrub away the toughest grime with the team. We take our work seriously but manage to keep it light and have a little fun. Samuel, has been there since the beginning.
At the end of the day; it’s about making sure our clients’ restaurants are safe and compliant. Our clients’ success is our success!

THE FORMULA FOR THE PERFECT RESTAURANT CLEANING SCHEDULE Compliance, Performance, and Peace of Mind
Seamless Scheduling and 24/7 Support Your restaurant doesn’t run on a strict 9-to-5 schedule, and flexibility is key when you’re working to stay compliant and provide the highest service standards for your customers. With 24/7 availability, convenient scheduling, and emergency services, we make it easy to keep up with your cleaning plan, even after hours or when the unexpected
Your kitchen is the heart of your business, and just like any hard- working engine, it needs regular care to run safely and efficiently. When it comes to scheduling cleaning, one-size-fits-all simply doesn’t cut it. Here’s how to make sure your cleaning schedule hits the sweet spot between compliance, performance, and peace of mind. Start with the standards. Adhering to industry standards is essential for restaurant safety and compliance. NFPA 96 and The American National Standards Institute (ANSI/IKECA) C-10 outlines the rules for cleaning kitchen exhaust systems. It specifies who is approved to perform cleaning, the frequency, and how cleaning is to be done. These standards create a baseline for safety and compliance, and that’s where we start, ensuring the hood and exhaust cleaning processes follows industry standards. Customize based on your kitchen. Every restaurant has different needs based on the cooking appliances used and cooking volume. You should consider all these factors as you decide what your cleaning schedule should look like. Restaurants that serve high volumes of customers may need quarterly cleanings, while smaller operations may require semi-annual visits. We offer free consultations and inspections to help meet all compliance requirements.

PROTECT YOUR COMPANY’S CREDIT SCORE Build Your Business Muscles
Building a business can require long hours growing sales, putting out fires, and driving ideas to fruition. Checking your business credit score might not be the first thing that comes to mind, but it can make a difference in your ability to achieve those other goals. A low credit score will inflate your borrowing costs and make attracting strong business partners and vendors harder. To establish business credit, register for a Dun & Bradstreet Data University Numbering System or D-U-N-S number. Your payment history, the age of your business credit accounts, the size of your debt, and trade credit extended by suppliers all affect your score. To put your best foot forward, check your score frequently with Dun & Bradstreet, Equifax, and Experian. Ensure your business and financial information, revenue figures, and industry classification are accurate. Mixups happen more easily with business credit scores than personal ones because identifying information is indexed only to your business name and address. If your DBA is similar to another company’s, your business might be confused with theirs.
Also, pay your bills on time or, preferably, before they are due. The clock runs faster on business credit than on personal loans. While consumer debt typically isn’t treated as late until 30 days after invoicing, business debt payments are considered “late” if only one day overdue. Your payment history determines Dun & Bradstreet’s Paydex score and is vendors’ primary information source. If you pay your bills on their due date, you will earn a Paydex score of 80 on a scale of 100. To get closer to 100, you must pay before the due date! Also, segregate your business and personal borrowing as much as possible. When starting a business, maxing out a personal credit card is a common but ill-advised strategy. Businesses typically use far more credit than consumers and can access far more credit. Following these basic rules can help you demonstrate your trustworthiness to prospective business partners and lenders, increasing your financial flexibility and opening up new opportunities!
