Finely bound for the publisher in full crimson levant morocco by Sangorski and Sutcliffe, with raised bands to the spine and Rackham designed piscatorial vignettes to spine com- partments and the corners of each cover. Marbled endpapers, top edge gilt others uncut. Signed by Rackham on the limitation page and opposite is a fine original drawing in ink, watercolour and wash, depicting Walton sitting down in an inn, about to be served his fish supper by a barmaid. Twelve colour plates under captioned tissue guards and numerous black and white draw- ings. A fine copy, bright and crisp with the binding exceptionally well preserved. Copies of Rackham’s books with original watercolours rarely come onto the mar- ket nowadays.
