On his team, he has a daily video conference that always offers a tip of the day. And twice a day the team holds a Power Hour in which they can go to work while keeping each other accountable. “We have continual events,” Shawn explains. “We’ve been able to bring in a bunch of leadership to share the load, and that keeps everybody engaged and on the same page. If we’re all pointed in the same direction and focused on the same thing, we accomplish more!” Everything Shawn has built points back to the Melaleuca Mission Statement. “When I first heard the Mission Statement, I thought it was weird,” Shawn explains. But then I realized that it’s all about building the path for other people to be successful. If I build that and and continue to help families enter that path, I can’t help but be successful. And it’s not about what I’m doing. It’s about helping them succeed. That’s what makes the whole thing work!” “For me, it’s about helping others so that they don't have to worry about having more month than paycheck,” Shawn says. “Unlike a job, you don’t have to wait for your boss to retire so you can take his position. With Melaleuca, you are the only limiting factor. You decide how much you accomplish!”

If you look at the Marketing Executives on Shawn’s team, you’ll notice a common thread. “We all want to be a part of something that matters,” Shawn explains. “There’s nothing secret or special about what we are doing. We’re really just focused on creating a tribe of like-minded people who want to go out and make a difference. When we find others who are attracted to that, we welcome them and make them feel like a part of the team.” For Shawn, his whole team is centered around the idea that Melaleuca is a better option than the competition. And there is one tool that communicates that succinctly. “Whenever someone is interested in Melaleuca, we send them straight to the Foundations video,” Shawn says. “It not only tells them who Melaleuca is and who Frank is, but it gets them set up for Pacesetter.” The next step is to help them set a goal. “You’ve got to get your goals written down,” Shawn explains. “Without a goal you’re not going anywhere.” And Shawn has found a key to helping his team set effective goals. “More than anything it’s about truly discovering their why and developing their vision for their
