IDEAS FOR GREAT

APPROACHES Not sure how to approach the pastors and clergy members on your contact list? Try some of these ideas below! Erich’s Go-To Approach: “I’ve observed that congregations like yours are having a harder time these days supporting a pastor. Can I tell you about the online shopping club I’m a part of? By referring others to shop with them, there may be an opportunity for you to earn some extra income that could help cover your family expenses.” Gabriel’s Go-To Approach: “What are some of your short- and long-term goals for your church—and what are you doing to ensure your own health so you can be there for your congregation? I’d love to show you what I’m doing. I may be able to help you find answers to both of those questions.” Paul’s Go-To Approaches: “Hey, I’ve recently found something that blew me away! It’s all about health and wellness, and it has made a huge difference in my life. And I’ve been able to use it to change a lot of other people’s lives too. I’d love to show you what I’m doing, because I think there may be opportunities for this to be a blessing to the people that you’re called to minister to.” “I’ve watched you in ministry for a number of years, and I admire how you always talk about improving people’s lives. Every time I hear you talk about that, it resonates with me so much. I’ve found something that connects practically with that message, and I think you ought to have a look at it.”

They believe in physical as well as spiritual health. Discovering and using Melaleuca’s 400+ wellness products can make a big difference. “Active pastors usually work overtime and absorb a great amount of stress daily,” Gabriel says. “They are also very concerned about the overall well-being of their congregation. The Peak Performance Pack gives pastors and their families the energy to work the hours they need to accomplish their goals. For example, my wife, Stephanie, began taking the Peak Performance Pack soon after we enrolled—and she felt revitalized after just a couple of weeks.” Paul sees a direct connection between physical wellness and spiritual wellness. He quotes frommemory a verse from 3 John 1:2, which reads: “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” To him, both of those areas are part of an abundant life. “Every preacher is called to introduce people not only to life but to life more abundantly,” he explains. “I believe with all my heart that a minister’s job is to help people become the best versions of themselves possible. And that goes hand in hand with the Melaleuca Mission Statement.” JC
