Take a BREAK!
BE THE LIGHT Whew — our world is busy and only seems to be getting more hectic! In a chaotic society, Feb. 17, Random Acts of Kindness Day, is the perfect opportunity to slow down and focus on spreading a little joy. Kindness doesn’t have to be lavish or expensive; it’s the small, thoughtful gestures that can make someone’s day brighter. This special day reminds us of the power we each have to make a positive impact, no matter how small. SIMPLE WAYS TO SPREAD KINDNESS Pay It Forward Have you ever been in line for coffee and had someone pay for your drink? It’s an instant mood booster, isn’t it? Be that person! Buy a coffee for the next person in line and watch how quickly smiles can spread! Give Out a Compliment “You have the best laugh!” or “I love your jacket!” A heartfelt compliment can go a long way, especially on a tough day. It’s quick, easy, and completely free. Hold the Door It’s such a small thing, but holding the door for someone, even a stranger, can make their day just a little easier. Write a Note When was the last time you received a handwritten note? Whether it’s a quick “thank you” to a friend or a Sticky Note on a coworker’s desk, a few kind words can mean so much. Leave a Larger Tip If you’ve had great service at a restaurant or café, surprise your server with a generous tip. You never know how much it might help or brighten their day. Volunteer Your Time Giving a couple of hours to help at a shelter or clean up a park might seem small to you, but it can have a big impact. Plus, it feels good to give back. Offer a Smile Sometimes, it’s just that simple. A genuine smile can make someone feel seen and appreciated, and it costs absolutely nothing. Share a smile; it’s contagious!
