WPRA New Video test

Jodalita Cielo is the dam of the 2000 brown mare Do It For Beau by Beaus Scoop Of Sun, which in turn is the mother of Grimes’ NFR qualifying mares KG Justiceweexpected (Issy) sired by Judge Cash, as well as KG Blazin Nine Oh (Ruby) sired by Blazin Jetolena. Do It For Beau is the earner of more than $49,000 herself from futurity, derby, 1D and WPRA competition and filled Grimes’ WPRA permit in 2006. She has produced earners of more than $685,000. Grimes also stands two sons of Do It For Beau—KG Do It For Fame sired by the leading barrel horse sire of all time, Dash Ta Fame; and a full brother to KG Justiceweexpected, KG JustStealingCash by Judge Cash, who is having a great 2020 futurity season and is leading the WPRA futurity 1D standings as of March 13, 2020. Grimes has good reason to believe in mare power and says her breeding decisions weigh heavily upon maternal traits. “When I’m considering a stallion for my mares, I like to consider the dam of that stallion. That point really hit home for me when Frenchstreaktovegas was running at the futurities. He beat us all the time, and when I stopped long enough to realize that he’s out of a full sister to Frenchmans Guy, I thought, ‘Oh okay, that explains a lot of it.’” Things like that just reiterate to me the importance of mare power, and you see it a lot when analyzing pedigrees.” For more information on Nine Oh Barrel Horses, including earnings records, stallion enrollments, in depth pedigree charts and links to winning runs, visit nine-oh.com.

Te (TB),” said Grimes. Azure Te was a great Thoroughbred sire that threw a lot of sprinters. By the time of his death in 1983, Azure Te was the all-time leading Thoroughbred sire of racing Quarter Horses, a title he held for nearly a decade. That’s one reason I chose Azyoucansee because I like to select stallions with high speed indexes for my proven ‘ratey’ barrel mares.” The dam of KG Azure Winnin Chex, 2003 buckskin mare Winning Gold Chex, is a testament to Grimes’ belief in the potency of great mare power. Sired by Extra Dry Chex and out of the proven barrel racing mare Jodalito Cielo by Gold Sun Spot, Winning Gold Chex has estimated lifetime barrel racing earnings of $60,000. Winning Gold Chex ran multiple sub-16s on WPRA standard patterns during her career and was a four-time Columbia River Circuit Finals qualifier for Grimes. To say that Grimes’ breeding program is stacked with mare power is quite possibly an understatement. The 1987 sorrel mare Jodalito Cielo is the cornerstone of Grimes’ maternal genetics and has been a 100 percent producer of barrel racing money earners. “It all goes back to Jodalita Cielo,” said Grimes. “I raised four foals out of her (Mr Sun Dollar, Do It For Beau, Raren To Turn, and Winning Gold Chex) that were sired by three different stallions and all of them have run a 17.1 or faster on a standard pattern.”

kid,” said Amber, “and I’ve always supported the WPRA as much as possible, from serving as Badlands director and as a spokeswoman for many years. The 2017 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo qualifierKathyGrimes’andBillGilbert’sNine Oh Barrel Horses, located in Medical Lake, Washington, is committed to producing fast, athletic horses backed by exceptional mare power. Grimes’ PESI enrolled stallion KG Azure Winnin Chex embodies the bloodlines proven by Grimes’ program in the course of her successful career as a professional barrel racer. Since 2014, KG Azure Winnin Chex has stood to the public, making the Nine-Oh genetics available industry-wide. Foals sired by the 2010 palomino stallion have proven themselves as 1D winners in futurity and divisional competition. “He has been throwing size, good bone, and since he’s young there is only about three or four by him that are out there running, but they’re money winners, they’re nice minded and have nice conformation,” said Grimes. KG Azure Winnin Chex is by Grade 1 stakes sire Azyoucansee, by First Down Dash (SI 105). Azyoucansee has an SI of 104 and lifetime earnings of $147,476. On the maternal side, Azyoucansee is out of the Band Of Azure (SI 98) mare Azures Cash. “Azyoucansee goes back to Azure
