ABOUT - Hourly care offers eligible families temporarily available CYP spaces in CDC or SAC programs for on-demand, flexible, short-term and intermittent child care solutions. Parents agree to pay the established hourly rate per child, per hour. Families can make reservations up to 30 days in advance on a first-come, first-served basis.

In response to the growing and diverse needs of military parents to secure quality, affordable care, the Defense Department is proud to offer service members and their families expanded hourly child care options. Through Military OneSource, parents have free access to a nationally recognized caregiver database to search for hourly, flexible and on-demand child care.
The online caregiver service lets military parents: • Search for care that fits their own needs and criteria • Find potential care providers • Check references • Review background checks • Interview, hire and pay providers on their terms
