Emulation Sire Line: The Emulation sire line owes its origin to Murray Corbin (OK), famous for the development of the Emulous cattle. Murray formed the line by mating a linebred Emulous cow to F C R Elation Lad 652 and producing Emulation 31 (Emulous - Elation). Emulation 31 earned the highest Weaning Weight and highest Yearling Weight of his calf crop, and went on to become famous for his daughters. Unfortunately, Emulation 31 and many of his sons, daughters, and granddaughters became famous for bad dispositions. Bad dispositioned cows and bulls are just something that we no longer need to tolerate. Jorgensen Land & Cattle evaluated and very selectively hand-picked some Emulation-line sires who retain the best traits of the Emulation line and still exhibit the disposition, fertility, and mothering ability that we want in our cattle. We will continue to incorporate the best attributes of the Emulation line while selecting for the excellent disposition for which our cattle are known.
