EXCITING NEW PRODUCT RANGE FROM OVIA LIGHTING AIMS TO BUILD ON THEIR SUCCESS FROM HUMBLE BEGINNINGS TO BRAND-NEWOPERATION OVIA IRELAND…

Ovia shiningbright across Ireland with newcatalogue

I t is just two years since Ovia was launched as an independent lighting organisation and only six months since the Ovia Ireland operation was set up to bring the extensive range of Ovia lighting products to the whole of Ireland. Despite some difficult trading conditions, the company has kept on track with its ambitious plans and continues to exceed expectations with investment in new products, the addition of new team members, and the launch of issue 3 of the Ovia catalogue. The company has continued to invest to ensure it has an extensive range of products that are contractor friendly, innovative and cover a broad spectrum of applications. Ovia also has a huge resource to call on and a very experienced team in place to manage stocks and the supply chain to ensure that the company continues to deliver a first class service to its customers. The comprehensive Ovia range now includes products that cover a wide range of applications and includes domestic, amenity, controls, commercial, industrial, utility, floodlighting, and emergency lighting.

New products and a bumper new catalogue Phase 3 of Ovia’s product development programme aims to build on the success of the first two years. When the company started out, it had the domestic market covered with the products it offered. Expansion into other sectors was always the aim and Ovia has had some great success, particularly with its commercial and floodlighting products. At over 400 pages, the new Ovia catalogue boasts an additional 100 pages on the previous edition and will bring to designers, contractors and specifiers a comprehensive product guide covering the entire range on offer. It includes a raft of brand new additions as well as some improved products, and they are being brought to market on the back of continual engagement with contractors to ensure that the products and solutions they seek are developed and available through the wholesaler. Ovia has expanded its floodlighting range to include a range of LED asymmetric floodlights. The new Inceptor Ace range of adjustable, LED asymmetric floodlights

provides high quality indoor and outdoor lighting solutions. Asymmetric floodlights can achieve up to a 50% better output utilisation into the intended illuminated area. With the benefit of a lower light pollution, they are best suited in areas where light distribution and its effect on neighbours is a consideration. This makes them ideal for installation in built-up areas, towns and cities, for example. They are available in a black finish, in 50W, 100W, 150W, 200W and 300W versions, with 4000K cool white LEDs. They are supplied with a 2M pre-wired cable flex for quick and easy installation, and a fully adjustable aluminium mounting bracket, which allows full control of the projection angle. The Inceptor Ace floodlights are also available in photocell versions (100W, 150W, 200W and 300W). With all the features and benefits of the standard fitting described above, the photocell option allows for use with remote PIRs or microwave sensors. The photocell versions turn the light on when the light level drops under 10-20 lux and turns the light off once the light level is over 30-60 lux.

“Ovia Ireland aims to get the message across to wholesalers that they will have a focus on the contractor.”
