PLANNING FOR A FULL YEAR OF EVENTS IN 2022 IS WELL UNDERWAY TO CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THE IRISH ELECTRICAL BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION (IEBA)... IEBA is looking forward to a return of fundraising events in 2022

D espite having to cancel events throughout the last two years due to Covid, including the annual Winter Ball, the fundraising committee has been tirelessly working behind the scenes to ensure that they are back with a bang next year.

committee member. Founded in 2001, the IEBA provides assistance to many members of the electrical industry - and their families - who have experienced difficulties such as: bereavement, depression,

terminal illness, accidental death, special treatments, or retraining. The association continues to make a real difference to the lives of electrical industry employees and their families and with your help, awareness and support it can do even more to assist those less fortunate in the electrical community in Ireland. In response to an appeals letter by Mr O’Reilly last December, an incredible

Chairperson of IEBA, Mr Cel O’Reilly explained that 2021 was used as an opportunity to review and update the association’s constitution while also assessing its operations against the requirements of the Charities Governance Code. “We are pleased to report that we are now totally compliant with the charity regulator,” he added.

Confirmed events for 2022 include: Race Day on Sunday 6 February at Leopardstown Racecourse as part of the Dublin Racing Festival; Golf Day at Lee Valley, Cork in April; and a second Golf Day in Killeen Castle, County Meath in May. The fundraising committee is also at the early stages of organising the first- ever IEBA Cycling event in April/May. Interested teams are asked to contact a

€52,000 was raised. While an appeals letter is not being sent out this year, the fundraising committee is accepting donations through online banking transfers or by cheque.
