IEM: Tell us about yourself. I am married to Stephen and have a son and a daughter, Greg and Lynn, hence where the name, CSGL came from. I am a very positive and motivated person who thrives on helping others reach their potential. IEM: Tell us about your company. We are an independent electrical wholesaler operating since 2011, in Ennis, County Clare. CSGL is a family- run business with an emphasis on customer care and efficient service, while supplying quality products at competitive prices. We have a very motivated and committed team that strives to be the best we can within the industry and follow a mantra of continuous improvement for everyone. IEM: What area of the industry does CSGL focus most on? All aspects including industrial, commercial, domestic and agricultural.
Our customer base is so varied we provide what our customers need in whatever category it falls into. IEM: Have you remained busy through the pandemic? During lockdown we remained operational behind closed doors to provide emergency back-up for companies/contractors who remained open to provide essential services. We saw a dip in our sales, but every business experienced the same. IEM: How are you and your customers adapting to the new I.S.10101 regulations? The ‘Wired for Change’ leaflet on Hager’s website was a huge help for contractors to understand the changes. Hager’s I.S 10101 Regs Hub www. hager.ie/regs is a reliable source of information for the new regulations. There was confusion in the beginning regarding the regulations but that
has thankfully eased, and take-up is approximately 60 – 40% so far this year. IEM: What do you like best about Hager? I can’t praise John Morrison and the team at Hager enough for the support they’ve shown us over the past 10 years. To our delight we have shipped Hager products to Belgium and Scotland for customer projects and our Irish-based customers have relied on us to support their own clients abroad.
