Congratulations to NIAVAC Ltd who scooped top place as Specialist Contractor of the Year, sponsored by Tec Electric. This award was first launched back in 2017, serving as a category to seek to find experts who provide bespoke electrical solutions that really make a difference. NIAVAC Ltd certainly accomplished that with the evolution of hybrid events at their virtual studio, which spoke volumes to the team of judges, showing its determination to give its customers the best possible AV experience. Hailed as Northern Ireland’s leading provider of professional commercial audio visual (AV) solutions, NIAVAC was delighted with the accolade. Its business has gone from strength to strength in its 60-year history, expanding its reach across the Corporate, Healthcare and Education sectors, amongst others. Judges were also particularly impressed with how it made changes with its own carbon footprint to reduce the energy and diesel consumption by over 70% in 2020/2021. The panel said it was difficult not to be impressed with NIAVAC’S submission. The judges commented: “Planning, organising and delivering live events for the BBC, Queens University and Belfast Metropolitan College, to name a few,, is certainly impressive.” “NIAVAC’s submission is certainly a worthy finalist… 10 out of 10.”

Deserving winners of this award, Lightsource worked closely with its client, Hinch Distillery in County Down to bring a stunning project to life. Judges remarked that the project was a conceptual design from Lightsource who was tasked with conducting the lighting elements to this wonderful distillery and visitors’ centre. The judging panel felt that the highlight of the entire project was the giant hanging feature barrels installed in the reception area. These were beautifully illuminated with pendants and Tala lamps and was a glowing example of how Lighthouse worked closely with the client to bring this stunning project to life.
