THIS WEEK IN... MIDDLE SCHOOL
YEAR 3 In Topic, we have been using our research skills to learn all about the different Ancient Egyptian Gods and Goddesses. To showcase this new learning, we’ve had lots of fun creating our own Egyptian God themed Top Trump cards. These include descriptions of their appearance, what they represented, fun facts, and their skills! Linked to this topic, we have begun to create artwork of the different Ancient Egyptian Gods this week. We have taken lots of care with our use of line and pattern. Next lesson, we will be learning about complimentary colours, using oil pastels to complete this project. In Topic, we cannot wait to learn all about the process of mummification next! Year 3 enjoyed a wonderful morning of Wellbeing on Thursday. The children, along with Year 4, created a ‘positivitree’ to help us remember all the ways we can improve our wellbeing. Additions to the tree included: ‘For my wellbeing I dance’, ‘For my wellbeing I draw’, ‘For my wellbeing I swim’, ‘For my wellbeing I doodle’.
