Business casual attire is permitted throughout the clubhouse; however, after 5 pm jackets (but not ties) are required in the Garden Dining Room. . Rosecliff was built for Nevada silver heiress Theresa Fair Oelrichs, who used it to host many fabulous Gilded Age entertainments. Architect Stanford White modeled Rosecliff after the Grand Tri- anon, the garden retreat of French kings at Versailles. The Preservation Society of Newport County is a non-profit or- ganization whose mission is to protect, preserve, and present an exceptional collection of house museums and landscapes in one of the most historically intact cities in America.
