The partnership with Auction.com provided an opportunity to present the property to investors not typically considering prop- erties in the Lehigh Valley. With former Hafer Envi- ronmental Services owner, Christopher Kern, P.G. , and senior environmental scientist Michael Bingaman both join- ing Liberty, the transfer will be seamless for existing Hafer clients. Both have more than 20 years of experience in site assessment, site characteriza- tion, storage tank manage- ment, and soil and groundwa- ter remediation. The acquisition of Hafer Environmental Services is the second acquisition by Liberty in the past three years. The purchase brings the total number of employees to 30. Hafer Environmental Ser- vices, Inc. was founded in 1989 by Larry Hafer as an indepen- dent company to provide envi- ronmental consulting services to support his clients at Hafer Petroleum Equipment now known as Hafer Equipment. The firm was purchased by Kern in 2008 upon Hafer’s retirement. n
