DOCENDO DISCIMUS
Illuminating the seal of Central Washington University, the words Docendo Discimus, “By Teaching We Learn,” remain the cornerstone of the university’s mission. The university is committed to teaching as a means to facilitate learning. All members of the university community support a relationship between teacher and student, which makes both partners in learning, scholarship, research, creative expression, and the application of knowledge to solve human and societal problems.
