Book Summary One day, Narwhal meets Jellyfish, and the two become friends. Narwhal forms a pod of different animals and includes Jellyfish, too. The pod eats waffles, sings songs, and has a party. Then Narwhal asks Jellyfish to read blank pages in a book and imagine a fun story about a battle between a waffle and a giant, angry robot! Prompts for Encouraging Discussion • Why do you think Jellyfish has a hard time believing that Narwhal is real when the two of them meet? • What words would you use to describe Narwhal? What words would you use to describe Jellyfish? • If Narwhal gave you the book of blank pages, what would your story be about? Build Knowledge: Fun Facts to Share Narwhals are rarely seen by humans. They spend months under sea ice and live in some of the darkest and most remote areas in the world. Narwhals use their tusks for hunting fish. Jellyfish are 98 percent water. They have no brain, heart, lungs, or blood. There could be 300,000 species of jellyfish, but only 2,000 have been discovered.
