Letter Cards

The Letter Cards that the children have in their Student Handbooks should be cut apart and stored in resealable plastic bags or envelopes. Then the Letter Cards will be available for children to use to do any of the following activities and more! 1. Say words with variant vowel sounds, such as look and room . Have children make the words with the letter cards. 2. Say words with r -controlled vowels and have children make the words. 3. Say words with the letter y used as a vowel, such as in hilly and sky . 4. Have children create words with consonant blends, including l -blends, r -blends, and final blends. 5. Have children use the letters to make their own compound words. 6. Have children enjoy making and reading their own words and sharing them with classmates.
