Creation Day 1: In the Beginning God Created..
As a teacher of high school science (astronomy, biology and earth science) and a passionate advocate of truth, it's difficult for me to think of any piece of literature more supportive of science's explanation of the universe's beginning than the opening line of the most popular book ever written, "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” Unfortunately, as I expressed the introduction, this missing puzzle piece of scientific truth, "In the beginning, God created", is not being taught to students in our public schools. The biggest unanswered question to me (and millions of other truth seekers) is, why isn't it?
Research shows that the human mind is prone to making errors in thinking, predictable mistakes that cause us to believe comfortable lies over inconvenient truths. These errors leave us vulnerable to making decisions based on false beliefs, leading to disastrous consequences for our personal lives, relationships, careers and for our society as a whole. Now, let's go back again to a statement I made earlier in the introduction. I made a claim that Satan, ‘the god of this world' ( 2 Corinthians 4:4 ) , has sown the seeds of doubt, that God is not the Creator, into the minds of millions of innocent school-age children. The big question is, how did he do it? Before I answer that all important question, let's open the Bible and find out who Satan really is.
Satan is not the counterpart to God. God has no challenger. Satan is a created being who has only the power God allows him to have for only as long as God allows it ( Isaiah 14:12 ; Luke 22:31 ; Revelation 12:12 ).
