Creation Day 3: God creates the "chemical" breath of life

Doesn't that breakfast in the picture look delicious? Besides the pleasures of taste and smell we receive from eating our favorite foods and snack choices, most people never stop to realize that the food, water, and the constant supply of oxygen (O2) we need daily to survive comes from two completely opposite biological processes that God alone created.

• All animals (including humans) need a constant supply of energy - ( adult humans need about 3000 calories of energy/day) - to make our muscles work; especially our most important muscle, our heart. • Starting in your mouth, water mixes with specialized enzymes that God has carefully placed along your digestive tract to break down and dissolve large food molecules (complex sugars and starches, fats and proteins) into smaller molecules ( glucose, glycerol and amino acids ) before absorption (into our blood) takes place in our intestines. • God created our circulatory system to transport the dissolved oxygen (O2) that we breath into our lungs and glucose molecules ( C6H12O6) to over 37 trillion cells that make up an adult human body . Through the process of cellular respiration , the dissolved oxygen and glucose molecules combine inside each cell's mitochondria to produce the energy molecule - adenosine triphosphate (ATP) - plus water (H2O) and carbon dioxide (CO2) .
