Creation Day 4 God reveals His "heavenly clocks" in the night and day sky
It is important to remember that the sun doesn’t travel across the sky. It looks that way because the Earth is spinning. Adjustment # 3: Earth's daily 360 0 rotation rate will be exactly 24 hours As Earth rotates, it seems like the sun is moving across the sky, but it’s really the Earth that is spinning. It takes the Earth 24 hours to complete one rotation, which is why there are 24 hours in one day. Here are three facts about the Earth's 24 hour rotation that most people don't know: • A 24 hour day on Earth is recorded not from midnight to midnight, but from high noon (when the sun is highest in the sky) to high noon. • The Earth rotates once in a few minutes under a day (23 hours 56 minutes 04.09053 seconds). • By the time the Earth has rotated once, it has also moved a little in its orbit around the Sun, so it has to keep rotating another 4 minutes before the Sun is back in the same place in the sky at high noon.
As the earth rotates, the light from the sun shines on half of the Earth at any given time. That side is warmer and brighter. The other side of the Earth faces away from the sun (it’s dark) so it is cooler and darker .
Since the Earth is always spinning (a little more than 1,000 miles per hour), there is a line between day and night called sunrise and sunset and we pass through it each day.
