Creation Day 4 God reveals His "heavenly clocks" in the night and day sky Balancing the distance of Earth's aphelion and perihelion The average temperature of Earth at aphelion is about 4 o F (2.3 o C) higher than it is at perihelion." Earth is actually warmer when we're farther from the Sun! How can that be?
Carefully observe the rotating earths picture d above. God perfectly aligned the following factors in order to create a perfect earthly home for animal life to exist on Creation Days 5 & 6 . • Earth's Tilted Axis - B ecause Earth orbits the Sun on a 23.5 o tilt , our planet gets more or less of the Sun’s direct rays at different times of the year. The northern hemisphere is tilted toward the sun in the summer (Aphelion) and the southern hemisphere is tilted toward the sun in the winter (Perihelion) • Balancing Earth's Uneven Distribution of Continents and Oceans God created the uneven distribution earth's continents and oceans - more land in the northern hemisphere and more water in the southern hemisphere for one purpose - to evenly distribute earth's global temperatures throughout the year. During the northern summer (aphelion), the northern continents are titled toward the sun. With 68% of Earth's land mass, the northern continents absorb the sun's direct rays to balance earth's average temperatures throughout the entire globe. Six months later, in January (perihelion), the situation is reversed. Our planet presents its southern water-dominated hemisphere (81% oceans) to the Sun's direct rays. The extra sunlight is easily absorbed by southern oceans and is redistributed worldwide by ocean currents to again balance out Earth's global temperatures,
