Study t he follow ing chart s below . T hroughout the year, God has arranged for specific locations on Earth's surface to receive the Sun’s direct (overhead) rays of sunshine.
The Tropics are centrally located areas on the Earth's surface that receive the Sun's direct (overhead) rays of sunlight at least 2 times throughout the year. The Tropics are located between 23.5 o N of the Equator (Tropic of Cancer) and 23.5 o S of the Equator (Tropic of Capricorn). Seasons at the Tropics
God created Earth's tropical regions to receive an over abundan ce of warmth , moisture and sunshine throughout the year. The summer solstice occurs in the tropics on June 21st when the sun 's direct rays are over the Tropic of Cancer, located at 23.5° N. For the next 90 days, the sun's direct rays move southward arriv ing directly over the E arth's Equator at noon on September 22nd, the first day of Fall. 90 days later, the sun's direct rays arrive at the Tropic of Capricorn, southern most point of their yearly 360 degree journey . 90 days later, the sun's direct rays arrive back directly over the Equator, marking the 1st day of Spring.
