Creation Day 5 God created animal life in Earth's waters and skies The spark that ignited the Cambrian explosion!

Genesis 1:20-21

The Cambrian explosion was a literal burst of complex animal life forms that has defied scientific explanation. It produced arthropods with jointed legs and compound eyes, worms with feathery gills and swift predators that could crush prey in tooth-rimmed jaws. Biologists have argued for decades over what ignited this literal burst of advanced life forms. Even Charles Darwin, the 19th c entury British naturalist credited for the theory of evolution by natural selection could not explain this scientific enigma. As Darwin noted in the Origin of Species, "The abrupt emergence of arthropods (the highest form of invertebrates) in the fossil record during the Cambrian presents a problem for evolutionary biology. There are no obvious simpler or intermediate forms—either living or in the fossil record—that show convincingly how modern arthropods evolved from worm-like ancestors." Famous evolutionary biologist of Oxford University, Richard Dawkins, describes the Cambrian Explosion this way: "The Cambrian strata of rocks are the oldest in which we find most of the major invertebrate groups. And we find many of them already in an advanced state of evolution, the very first time they appear. It is as though they were just planted there, without any evolutionary history." 40 Scientific References - supplying additional facts that the fossil record does not support evolution, but is positive evidence for Creation! https://www.ewtn.com/catholicism/library/fossil-record-does-not-support-evolution-but-is- positive-evidence-for-creation-10800

Meet the Trilobite - The Cambrian bug that defies evolution!

Take a good long look at the pictures above. On the left is a trilobite fossil, an advanced arthropod discovered in Cambrian rocks radioactively dated to be about 450 million years old. On the right is a closeup image of one the trilobite's two compound eyes, each one equipped with dozens of equally spaced reflective lenses. Trilobites had dozens of lenses in each eye, like the compound eyes on flies and other advanced arthropods living today. God created these unique marine arthropods with an evenly spaced curved lens for two amazing purposes: • to allow their brains to quickly determine when an object moves from one place to another, and most amazing of all, • to allow the these advanced bottom dwellers to see in double 3-D !!???
