Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array. By the seventh day God had finished the work He had been doing; so on the seventh day He rested from all his work. Then God blessed the seventh day and declared it holy, because on it He rested from all the work of creating that He had done . ~ Genesis 2:1-3 (NIV) The English word Sabbath comes from the Hebrew word Shabbath יוֹם מְ נוּחָה which essentially means “a day of rest.” God command s us to keep a day of res t because He wants us to trust Him and reflect on how much our Creator loves us. T aking a Sabbath rest also helps us from idolizing our own work agendas . Here's a great example of a well known Sabbath keeper that honors God every Sunday by closing its business doors. Chick-fil-A celebrated its 42nd year of consecutive sales growth with a praise to God .

Chick-fil-A will be looking toward reaching the $4-billion mark now that it's surpassed $3 billion for the first time – just three years after surpassing the $2-billion mark and nine years after surpassing the $1-billion mark. Unlike other major fast-food chains, Chick-fil-A is closed on Sundays in respecting God's commandment to honor God by keeping His Sabbath Day holy.
