Creation Day One: Disorder to Order
During creation week in Genesis 1 , six times it says that there was evening and morning. On D ay O ne, God creat ed light from darkness and brought order to the chaos. On the second day, He continued His work and brought about more order. This continued through D ay S ix until creation was complete and therefore the “ereb” ( disorder ) of creation was brought into order "boqer" ( order ).
Creation Day One: Genesis 1:1-5 1. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. 3. Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light. 4. And God saw the light that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. 5. So the evening ( ereb ) and the morning ( boqer ) were Day One.
Beside creating light on Day One, God also created the dimension of time. You can't see time. You can't grab time. You can see space, you can see matter, you can feel energy and you can see light. And that's exactly what Albert Einstein taught us in the Laws of Relativity ( Chapter 5 ): that there was a creation, not just of space, energy and matter, but of time itself.
