There were some people in th e city who did not know Jesus, and when they saw th e crowd and Jesu s rid ing into th e city, they asked who th e m an was rid ing on th e burro, and th e people all answered saying it was Jesu s th e ir King. (Luke 1 9 :3 8 ). Soon after Jesus had entered into th e city He went into th e temple or church, and while He was th e re many th a t were blind and lame came to Him and He healed them . And now listen for we are coming to th e best p a rt of our story, for it says th e re were some children in th e temple too, and when they saw Jesu s and the wonderful things He was doing for the lame and blind people, they all said th a n k you to Him by rejoicing and praising God fo r Jesus. (Luke 1 9 :3 7 ). This made Jesus very happy indeed to h ear th e praises coming from th e lips of the. little children, and I know every one of us h ere th is morning w an t to make Him happy too, by telling Him how th an k fu l we are for H is g rea t love to us. Now th ere were also some people in th e crowd who did n o t love Jesus, and they did no t like to h ear people praise and th a n k Him. When Jesu s heard th is He said th a t th e little chil-

M errill “ t h a n k you” to some one who is giving us presents every day, and is always doing so many things for us, and I am afraid we do no t always say th a n k you to Him. P rayer. Lesson Story: One day when Jesus was living h ere on ea rth He and His disciples, took a trip to th e city of Je ru salem, and ju st before they got to the city, Jesus asked two of these disciples to go and b ring Him a burro so he could ride into th e city. He knew He was not going to be w ith them very much longer, and He had been telling th e people He h ad come as th e ir king, and now as He entered th e city He came riding, and th e people spread palm branches along th e way, and some were so happy and wanted to show Jesus honor th a t they even spread th e ir coats down on th e ground. There were g reat crowds of people m arching before Jesus and many others followed behind, and th ey were shouting and saying, “Hosanna-to Jesus, Blessed is He th a t cometh in th e name of th e Lord: Hosanna in the h igh est.”
