Bike lanes are available along Symmes Road east of US 301. Adding bike lanes along Symmes Road west of US 301, and improving sidewalk connectivity, can provide safer travel for bicyclists. Figure 59 is an example of how construction has created temporary obstructions to safe bicycle and pedestrian travel where sidewalks are already limited. Once construction is complete and the sidewalk on the northern side of Symmes Road is rebuilt, bicyclists and pedestrians will be able to safely travel on the sidewalk.
