2021 Q1

Greetings from Houston! The 2021 HADOA season has kicked off with a brand-new website that we hope will be finalized in February. Being a HADOA member now comes with even more exclusives. Our new Helpful Links tab provides escheat webpages to review, county clerk webpages for easy access if you are working a new area, and even state regulatory webpages if you want to catch up on new legislation. If you are a member and you want to send us a link to add, please email us at hadoa1@yahoo.com. Additionally, we have created HADOA Forums. This new tool is still being developed, but our hope is to have a place where members can discuss topics together. Stay tuned for details in the magazine. For the safety of our members, HADOA will be hosting hybrid style luncheons moving forward. We are thankful for our partnership with the Petroleum Club of Houston and the wonderful speakers we have that allow this to happen. If you are not a member but still wish to join the Zoom luncheon, all you do is register! We hope that our pathway to normal in-person events will soon be on the rise, but until then HADOA plans to keep safety our number one priority. We have a March hybrid luncheon covering a case study of Endeavor V Energen presented by Don Hueske and Kacie Beavers at Steptoe and Johnson. In May, we are tentatively expecting a manager appreciation luncheon with guest speaker Breea Clark discussing Millennial Leadership: HowThey Lead and How to Lead Them. The HADOA board looks forward to seeing everyone again, but in the meantime, we hope that everyone is staying safe and taking precautions.Together we will get through this. PBADOA 2021 Board

President - Heather Liles Vice President – Katherine Flores

Treasurer – Sunni Turney Secretary – Yvonne Molinar Director of Publicity – Yohji Carrasco Director of Membership – Rosanne Kidder Director of Information Technology – Estella Pena Board Advisor- Jennifer Oden Even though 2020 was a very challenging year, PBADOA would like to acknowledge a few highlights we experienced. First off, our member and friend, Lily Sanchez has made huge improvements since her ATV accident that caused a serious brain injury. She is back at work a few days a week and is keeping a positive attitude. We pray for continued healing for Lily and her eyesight. We are so very thankful for her progress and recovery. Second, we were able to raise $1,573.28 for 3:11 ministries for our yearly charity donation. This is an organization that helps children and families in need within our community. Next, we had Kacie Bevers host our first webinar presenting “Addressing Consents to Assign Provisions.” It went very smoothly and she had some great information to share. Lastly, the majority of our board agreed to serve another year. We are very grateful for their dedication and service to PBADOA. Our plan in 2021, is to provide educational opportunities via webinars. We are hopeful that in person luncheons can be scheduled in a few months. We are grateful for the new volunteers this year on our Board: Secretary: Yvonne Molinar, Division Order Clerk III in Owner Relations
