tions o f the earth for the beginning o f the last great perse cution o f the earthly seed o f the woman. The sudden re vival o f Nebuchadnezzaranian hate and fury against the children o f Israel is a thing of tremendous import! And when the Nebuchadnezzar of the end-time comes, the Hit lerian blowpipes will all be set for heating the furnace for Israel’s last affliction “ one seven times more than it was wont to be heated” (Dan. 3 :19 ). Even as it is written: “ A la s! for that day is great, so that none is like it : it is even the time o f Jacob’s trouble?’ (Jer. 30 :7 ). The Lord Jesus Christ, referring to that day, said: “ Then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be” (Matt. 24 :21). His special warning was: “ Then let them which be in Ju dea flee” (Matt. 2 4 :16 ). But not only Christ, but also Jere miah, Daniel, John, Joel, and every other seer of Jacob’s hour o f trouble—all make the same definite promise: “He [Jacob] shall be saved out of i f ’ (Jer. 30 :7 ). Anti-Semitism is to be the direct cause o f Armaged don, as we. shall see more fully in our next article. Fool ishly, the nations are becoming anti-Semitic, providing the cause for Armageddon. Frantically, the nations are running their munition factories day and night, preparing the weapons for Armageddon. Fearfully, the nations are shuddering as they meditate upon the imminency and the sure horrors o f Armageddon. Hopefully, however, the saints look forward to the day after Armageddon when the ages-long night shall give place to the glorious sunrise of the new age—when sorrow and sighing shall flee away, and the Prince o f Peace shall reign in righteousness. In that day, “ They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy moun tain : for the earth shall be full o f the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea” (Isa. 11 :5 ,9)-. “Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel . . . . Blessed be his glorious name for ever', and let the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen, and Amen” (Psa. 7 2 :1 8 ,1 9 )! Resurrection Life The life that the believer has in Christ is an entirely new, a resurrection life. It is not the continuation o f the old life, improved and amended. That, being desperately wicked, has, in the sight of God, come to an end, and the believer is a “ new creature” in Christ. The life which he possesses is one which is altogether removed out o f the reach o f condemnation, for Christ is his life, and he is “ alive unto God in Christ Jesus.” — S ir A rthur B lackwood . need o f a change, but burst into a tide o f singing known as the “ Glossolalia,” which, in the meaning o f the word as it relates to music, is simply a prolonged vocalization of melodic ecstasy, which led the singer to release his pent-up, emotions and literally sing for very joy. Victory was the note they struck, and thus, lighting up the darkness o f a minor-key background, a new day dawned in music; a new song in the major key shone forth in resurrection splendor. It is easy to picture a group o f early Christians meeting for praise, and singing the only form o f song they had. It consisted o f the ancient Hebrew psalms set to minor melodies, many o f which wejre Grecian in form and thor oughly unsuited to the new-found joy o f the individual. One can imagine these people seeking an outlet for feelings through one o f these long dirges, and suddenly at the close o f the final cadence, experiencing a wave o f holy joy that causes the singers to continue singing, rapidly gliding up and down in a rhapsody o f unrestrained. spontaneous AN EASTER SUNRISE IN CHURCH SONG [Continued from page 89]

A W arning : “ T ouch N ot M ine A nointed !” No, our love for Israel must not be allowed to warp the facts. Israel has sinned and still abides in unbelief. Israel, like Jonah, may be swallowed up, but Israel is no sedative while in the bellies o f the great sea monsters o f the earth! Israel out of the land and on the sea is a curse—not a blessing. Surely “ the day o f Jacob’s trouble” would be within neither the permissive nor the directive will of God were not Israel’s transgressions great. ¿Dark days are ahead for Israel— days o f terrible judg ment. But let none who profess the name o f Christ ever be so unwise as to permilf themselves to move against the Lord’s anointecQ RememMr T)avid. Saul had departed from the living God. The condemnation of God rested upon him. He sought the life o f David, hunting him down

JAFFA (OR JOPPA) THE PORT OF PALESTINE FROM THE AIR as a partridge upon the mountains. Yet, on two occasions, when David could easily have pinned the the sleeping Saul to earth with his own spear, and was urged to do so, he replied: “ Who can stretch forth his hand against the Lord’s anointed, and be guiltless? . . . A s the Lord Iweth, the Lord shall smite him . . . The Lord forbid that I should stretch forth mine hand against the Lord’s anointed” (1 Sam. 26:9-11). Now hearken unto the word o f Jehovah: ‘‘ Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm” (Psa. 105: 15). God has anointed Israel, setting apart that wonderful people to be His own peculiar possession (Deut. 2 6 :18,19). Chastise them, He will (Lev. 26:27-33), whenever they forsake His law and spurn their King. But when God needs a chastening rod, Nebuchadnezzar becomes His servant (Jer. 2 5 :9 ). It is unthinkable that any true child o f God should lift his finger against God’s anointed! jBrown Shirts, Silver Shirts, arid all other anti-Semitic “ shirts” cover only “ the seed o f the serpent.” A member of the writer’s church recently said: “ They’ll all be night-shirts by and by.” Yes, and even now, these “ shirts” cover the chil dren o f the night, not o f the da^jT <-) - S7/ ? / />.9S" A nti -S emitism , A T remendous I mport ! As our age becomes more and more apostate and god less, naturally the extermination o f “ the seed o f •the woman” will become its overmastering passion. A fter the church has been “ caught up . . . to meet the Lord in the air” (1 Thess. 4 :17 ), and the old dragon goes down to defeat under the sword o f Michael (Rev. 12:7 ), then—^“ Rejoice, ye heavens, and ye [the heavenly seed, the church] that dwell, in them. [But] woe to the inhabiters of the earth [the earthly seed, Israel] and o f the sea [Gentiles]! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman [Israel] which brought forth the man child” (Rev. 12:12,13 ). Apparently, the stage is being set today in all the na
