AppalachianPT: Afraid Of Taking Pain Medication?

A TIME TO BE THANKFUL

ARTWORK AT THE OFFICE So in the attitude of giving thanks and thinking about who really butters our bread, we have decided to give back to the community that supports us and give you the opportunity to schedule a time with us to better understand a problem that you may be having. This will allow you to get information that will help make a decision, This time of year brings tomind a good harvest, pumpkins, turkey and all the elements of a great feast and family. Although it is mentioned last, family comes first in my book. I have stated it many times that this world as I know it would be lost without having family and friends. Relationships are the most important things I have and will continue to be. I place my work relationships in that category as most of us actually spend more time at work with our waking hours than we do at home. It is vital to have a healthy working relationship with the folks in your work environment. It certainly makes for a better day at least for me anyway. Along these lines it is important to actually enjoy what you do in life. I am so blessed to have the privilege to do what I do on a daily basis. I guess I have days at the office like anyone else. Most are great and there are some that are less than that. Usually those days are stressful from outside constraints that have a tendency to creep in occasionally. My job is to not let them steal my joy and take away the satisfaction I get from helping our patients achieve their goals of improving their health. It never ceases to amaze me we actually are able to help folks live a better life by getting their mobility and function better. I know that is what we are supposed to do but it is still kinda cool. I know we all rejoice a little each time we discharge someone and they walk out the door better. We here give each other a fist bump and mutter something like awesome, or great job, or at a girl! We never take our role for granted. We understand we are your servant, to give you the very best information we can so together we can make a viable plan of care to help you get better. It is all about you as we would not be here if you did not walk in the door. So in this context, I want to say a BIG THANK YOU for the trust you show by walking in our door.

possibly one that is life changing to better your health and enhance your ability to do things without pain or limitations. We have scheduled out our afternoon on the 12th of November just so you can schedule a 30 minute screening exam with one of our physical therapist and talk with us regarding your concerns and give us the ability to put our hands on you to share information on your condition. That way you can make a decision that will enhance what direction you may need to take to get your problem rectified. It could be doing some simple stretching at home to alleviate the problem. It could be a suggestion to get some testing to determine a questioned problem. It could be you may need professional help to get the problem resolved. Whatever it is, we are here to help and want to show our appreciation to the community that has supported us at Appalachian Physical Therapy over 33 years and counting. So call us at any of our offices to schedule this coveted time. I can tell you these spaces will fill up quickly and when they are gone, well they are gone. We can only do this for a limited time as our schedule is filled in helping patients get better who have already scheduled appointments with us. Come and enjoy some hot cider or cookies or a slice of pumpkin roll, fruit and more. Most of all come stick your head in the door and enjoy the spirit of being thankful for what we all have in this world that really is most important and that is relationships. THANK YOU!

It is all exhilarating, but she is drawn to bucolic scenes, mountains roads, Wisconsin lakes and farms, as well as Virginia’s country lanes. She has a fascination for the play of light and shadow and the many moods of color and loves to paint them in a way that seems to speak to the soul of the viewer.
