How can you become more resilient?
1. Change Your Mind
How you think and what you think shapes your response. If you settle in your current situation, you’ll never grow. You’ll never change. You just might miss out on meeting amazing people, your public. On the other hand, if you believe that “more” is out there for you, you will get moving. Who’s knows? Maybe those amazing people are waiting to meet YOU.
2. Learn From Failure
When things go wrong, take a minute to discover three things that you need to learn, three skillsets that you didn’t have, three ways that you could have handled the situation differently. Think about how that could have impacted your outcome. It’s okay if you haven’t figured it all out yet. Keep talking. Keep asking questions. Keep reaching.
3. Add To Your Circle
Is your current community one that supports and understands you? If not, that’s okay. Everyone is on their own path. This is a great time to assess what guidance you need in your life. Look into new groups of people who share your perspective. Find that tribe that is moving forward. Discover new hobbies and interests. Chances are, they are looking for you too. Having supportive people in your corner makes the dips of life a little easier. Realize that you’re never alone. Just keep reaching.
4. Get Moving
As you grow mentally and emotionally, it is important to balance your health with the new found you. Begin to incorporate daily exercise into your routine. You will need energy as you begin to embrace new opportunities and new friends. Rest is vitally important as well. Don’t look at your “to do” list or pile of bills before going to bed. Avoid anything that triggers or upsets you. Whatever situations are looming over you, can wait until tomorrow. Night time is your mind and body’s
