“To enhance our ability to compete and to play a com- manding role in the regional market has always been our aim. To that end, we are now completing a two-year major expansion of our facility. Trying to tie in full plant convey- orization, replacing a corrugator with a new one, putting in new steam and starch systems and erecting one of the few WIP systems involving high rack placement of sheets has had its share of challenges. The internal group that carried the project forward did an amazing job. We would like to thank our equipment partners Fosber, WSA-USA, Warak, BSP, Vortx, AES and KTC (ifas) for their unending cooperation. These subcontractors worked through very difficult situations, compounded by the ever-present threat of Covid, and maintaining an ongoing operation. “I think we know the next six months may be challeng- ing. The impact of inflation and energy costs continue to affect buying habits, and therefore the consumption of our product. I don’t think we can accurately predict what comes next. We all know that labor availability, Federal Reserve interest rate hikes and government policies will not be helpful to us as the recession looms. Yet, I remain strangely optimistic. Not sure why, but if there is a recov- ery in the later part of 2023, we will be more than ready. “One last thought. When are we as an industry going to rid ourselves of RISI’s price watch and the lack of transpar-
