to have many things in my life that I knew to be wrong, but now they are gone, and I am free.” And so we praise God for the victory which overcomes these things and sets men free from the law of sin and death. At one of our prayer services, the other night, we came in and found a man sitting at the reading table. He said, “You are looking at the most miserable man on earth, and I am ready to end it all,” and he surely looked it. But when we told him that Jesus would take care of him, he broke down and said, “I used to be a Chris tian, but wandered away from the Lord.”

So after showing him that Jesus would take him back, he got down on his knees and asked the Lord to forgive him and give him the victory over the drink habit which had him in its clutches. Well, God ans wered just as He always does those who trust Him, and the man is today a new creature in Christ Jesus and rejoicing in the fact that God has power to save a man from himself. And so we could go on and tell you of man after man who has come in and found the Saviour, who has meant so much to all of us. Pray that God will send even more men in to find this wonderful Saviour of ours.

WORK OF THE BIBLE WOMEN

Mrs. T. C. Horton, Supt.

NE of the teachers in our public schools found her way, one Sunday morning, into a Bible Woman’s Teacher Training Class. Her health was impaired and for two years she had sought relief in Christian Science. She found difficulty in assenting to the doctrines taught, yet her faith in Christ and His Word was so shat tered that she could not believe the truth. She continued to attend the class, until finally the Holy Spirit found His way into her heart, by means of the teaching of His Word, and slowly but surely she came back to the Christ she had forsaken. Now she is one of our best Bible students in the class, and is continually sought as a Sunday School teacher who can be relied on to teach the Word. A young woman in Bible study recently came into wonderful light. She had been in darkness because of false' teaching, almost to skepticism. She had a vague belief in God, but, as she said, “that day when the truth that God was a real living person, came to me, it so flooded my very

being that it changed me into another creature. O, it was so blessed!” Her face was radiant, and it was evident that the World was a living thing to her. It was night. Crowds of those unable to get into the Tabernacle were going by, and we in the “Biola Rest Room” prayed that God would send some needy one to us. Presently, among others, came a young woman who was ready and willing to talk. It was the old story; no interest in spirit ual things; no sense of sin; no church home. And the same specious story: “No, I seldom go to church; usually we all go to the beach on Sunday; that is the only day we can go, and a person ought to get out of the city one day in the week for their health.” We agreed that physical health was a great blessing,
