Some seeds are falling among thorny weeds ; they will never grow to have fruit, but all that you see dropping on the good ground will sink into it and grow. In just a few days the sower will see the tiny little green leaves coming up through the earth. They will grow higher and higher, and after a time the heads of grain will wave in the wind. As it ripens it will turn yellow and be cut down to be put into the barns. When they measure the grain there will be many times more than all that was sown in the beginning.” After the Great Teacher had finished talking that day, He and Hi's friends went into a house together, perhaps to eat. While there, some one said, “Master, what did you mean when you told the story about the sower?” Then the Lord Jesus told them that every person who hears the Word of God is like one of these pictures. Which would you rather be like? (Empha size the good, do not touch the negative). How can you be like this one? Yes, by not only hearing His word, but like good 'soil, letting it grow in you by doing what it says. The more people there are in a country ’ in whom the.Word of God is growing, the better that country becomes. Shall, we tell Him that we want His word to grow in ■each one of us so' that when* we grow up we shall have helped to maje our country a better place because we have lived in it? Prayer.
