Plainly our Lord intended to fortify His servants against the discouragements which would attend their most faithful seed-sow ing and men-fishing.” PRACTICAL POINTS (1) The kingdom will come when the King comes. (2) God’s purposes will, be perfected according to His plans; ■ (3) He will take the church out before He brings the kingdom in. (4) The greatest growth is growing in grace. (5) The fowls of the air aré foul birds; look out! ( 6 ) You can “shoo” the ’ birds, but you must 'shoot error. , (7) Satan’s birds sing soothing songs, but they have a hellish heart. ( 8 ) Receive with meekness the engrafted Word, that you may grow; thereby. poison and jump in the water. A little girl playing in front of her home was happy in Jesus, and was singing, “God will take care of you.” The man listened to the little one as she sang, “Thro’ days of toil when heart doth fail, God will take care of you.” He turned round saying to him self, “what a fool I’ve been, I will trust God, come what may.” He went back to his office and committed his business to God. He did not fail, but became a very successful man in his line. He saw a man whom he had known from childhood turn into the alley. He had never associated with this .man as he belonged to a different social class, but the moment he saw him the impression came to speak to him. He did not yield to the impression but passed on to a-drug store and had not been in there five minutes when a man rushed in and said “Bud Mil ler has shot himself, in the alley.” The Christian man said, “My God, I just met him and could have spoken to him about his soul.” What an awful thing it is for the light in the Light House on a rock-bound coast not to shine for just one night. What must .it mean to ships on life’s dark sea when Christians do not let their lights shine out. The owner of a large printing estab lishment was on the verge of bankruptcy. He felt he could not stand the disgrace of a failure, so bought some poison and was on his way to the river bank to take the
