A MESSAGE FROM HEAD OF YEAR 10
It was very good to see so many of you on Wednesday on screen for PCM. I hope you managed to gather some good information about the progress of your child. This week we launched the revision skills unit of work in tutor time, in preparation for the Year 10 exams which run for two weeks starting on Monday 10 June. Over the next few weeks we will go through lots of different techniques for revision and the students will be able to try them out and discuss them. This week we celebrated the attendance achievements of our top form within Year 10, 10SHO, with a Pizza Party on Monday lunchtime. The next award will go to the form with the most improved attendance at the end of the Summer term. The race is on! Well done to 10SHO who are also currently top of the leaderboard with epraise points! This week they’ve collected 48 points. They are closely followed by 10PCL in second place having earnt 42 points and 10PRE in third place having collected 32 points. Keep up the good work everyone! Looking forward we must make mention of the Bank holiday on Monday 6 May. The school will not be open to students. I hope students have a nice rest over the extended weekend. Next week further to our post 16 options information we will hear from several students in Year 12 about their personal journeys. We will also say goodbye to our Year 11 students and Year 10 will take on the important position as role models to the rest of the school. Parents are also reminded that on Wednesday 7 May students should not come in for P1 and P2 as we will be hosting our Year 11 leavers assembly. Students are therefore expected to arrive during break time, ready for P3.
