MATING SUGGESTIONS: There is every reason to think that Tiz The Law – a four-time G1SW - is going to prove as effective as a stallion as he was on the racecourse. In a very competitive battle for freshman sire honors in 2024, Tiz The Law missed top place by less than $20,000, even though his team of 89 named foals was the smallest of any of the Kentucky-based stallions in the top ten. He had 5 BTWs from 50 runners, including two GSWs. His second crop is also shaping up well. He is therefore following in the footsteps of his sire Constitution and grandsire Tapit. A superior racehorse to Constitution, Tiz The Law won the G1 Champagne Stakes in his 2YO season. After warming up for his Florida Derby success with a win in the G3 Holy Bull Stakes, Tiz The Law won again as a hot favorite for the G1 Belmont Stakes over the shortened distance of a mile and an eighth. In the G1 Travers Stakes Tiz The Law scored by more than five lengths before going down by just over a length to the odds-on Authentic in the re-scheduled Kentucky Derby. Tiz The Law’s dam Tizfiz won the G2 San Gorgonio H. on turf and his third dam Crafty And Evil was half-sister to Favorite Trick, who won all of his eight starts in 1997 to become champion two-year-old and Horse Of The Year. Tiz The Law’s first-crop 2YOs included smart performers on both dirt and turf. The turf brigade included Scythian (G3 Miss Grillo S), Out On Bail (Skidmore S. at Saratoga) and the versatile Tiztastic (Kentucky Downs Juvenile Mile S.), while G2 Oak Leaf S. winner Non Compliant and impressive Anoakia Stakes winner Silent Law were among the promising dirt winners. Tiz The Law’s second crop is also shaping up promisingly. In early November he was among the top six sires of 2YOs, thanks to a tally of 20 individual winners which included eight stakes horses. Two of his winners – the G1-placed colts Buetane and Curtain Call - had both been designated TDN Rising Stars. A striking aspect of Tiz The Law’s early success is his record with daughters of multiple champion sire INTO MISCHIEF. From only seven foals he has already been represented by the G1-placed 2YO Curtain Call and the G2-placed 3YO Tiz Dashing. His only foal out of a mare by Into Mischief’s sire HARLAN’S HOLIDAY is the stakes winner Wayne’s Law. Another significant winner with a STORM CAT line dam – this time a mare by FORESTRY - is Buetane, a $1,150,000 2YO who was runner-up in the G1 Hopeful Stakes. STORM CAT sired the second dam of G2SW Tiztastic, while G2-placed Cloe has a dam by TABASCO CAT. Constitution has two GSWs from his first 15 starters out of daughters of GIANT’S CAUSEWAY , as well as two BTWs from only five foals out of mares by Giant’s Causeway’s brother FREUD . Then there is the G3SW Warrant, who has a dam by Giant Causeway’s son FIRST SAMURAI . The HENNESSY branch of the STORM CAT line should also be ideal for Tiz The Law, including daughters of SCAT DADDY and JUSTIFY. The broodmare sires of Tiz The Law’s early winners include STREET CRY , who sired the dam of Out On Bail, and his son STREET SENSE , who sired the dam of Non Compliant, winner of the G2 Oak Leaf Stakes. This is significant, as STREET SENSE also sired the dam of Constitution’s high-class son Mindframe. The FAPPIANO branch of the MR PROSPECTOR male line is working well with Constitution. His smart daughters Amalfi Sunrise and Glass Ceiling have dams by EMPIRE MAKER , while his 26 foals out of daughters of UNBRIDLED’S SONG include four black-type winners and the G1-placed Gouverneur Morris. Tiz The Law is following his sire’s example and his G2SW Scythian has a dam by EMPIRE MAKER . Constitution’s nine foals out of mares by PIONEEROF THE NILE include two BTWs, notably G2SW Catching Freedom. Tiz the Law’s BTW Sprit Doll has a dam by CAIRO PRINCE and another BTW Tiztastic is inbred 3x2 to TAPIT , whose dam was by UNBRIDLED. Mares with SEEKING THE GOLD or GONE WEST blood have also made their mark with Constitution, with the G2SWs Laura’s Light and Treason respectively having dams by GONE WEST ’s sons MUQTARIB and SPEIGHTSTOWN while two of Tiz The Law’s BTWs winners have 2nd dams by ELUSIVE QUALITY (the G2SW Non Compliant) and GRAND SLAM. SMART STRIKE and his son CURLIN also appear among the broodmare sires of Constitution’s Graded performers, as do CARSON CITY and his son CITY ZIP. Constitution’s 13 foals out of mares by DIXIE UNION include the G3SW By Your Side and the G3-placed Aurelia Garland. Tiz The Law’s first runner out of a DIXIE UNION mare is the facile Anoakia Stakes winner Silent Law and he

also has the Graded Stakes winner Dixie Law from two runners out of mares by UNION RAGS. EL PRADO’s sons MEDAGLIA D’ORO and KITTEN’S JOY have also succeeded with Constitution.
