ARE YOU BEINGWATCHED? If You’re Out on Workers’ Compensation, You Could Be Being Followed
Usually when an employee is hurt on the job, it seems that the insurance company will sometimes do anything to avoid paying. And just when you think they can’t stoop any lower, here’s the shocking truth: Private eyes are watching you. The insurance companies will sometimes pay private investigators to follow you, hoping to catch you doing things you say you can’t. That’s right — strangers may be compiling a secret video of you, especially if you’re severely hurt. So, if you’re out on workers’ comp, always act like somebody’s watching you. And of course, you may never know because these guys are good at not being seen. But, why would the workers’ compensation insurance company do this? A video of you raking the yard for two hours when you claim you can’t use your shoulder can devastate your case. Of course, if they tape your valiant effort to cut the grass despite your back injury, they can cut the camera off as you limp back inside and won’t be around the next day to see you lying on the couch, immobilized in agonizing pain. Private eyes may follow you everywhere, including your home. They’ll follow you driving around town while you run errands. They’ll even go inside the store to tape you entering and leaving. And, for the most
part, it’s legal! As long as you are being observed outside of your home or recorded from a vantage point available to the public, the courts have held you don’t have any reasonable expectation of privacy. If you’re honest about your physical limitations and live within them, private eyes and their secret videos can’t hurt you. Most importantly, if you’re hurt badly and worried about the tricks insurance company might try, contact us so we can help protect your valuable rights so you can get the most compensation possible. Together we’ll develop a plan to overcome the insurance company by using the most powerful weapon of all: the truth.

“Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.” Romans 12:9 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.”
• 2 cups flour • 1 cup white granulated sugar • 1 tsp baking soda • 1/2 tsp salt • 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder • 1 tbsp lemon juice
• 1 cup soy milk • 2 tsp vanilla extract • 1/2 cup canola oil • 1 tbsp distilled white vinegar • 1 tsp red food coloring (gel works best) • Frosting of choice
Directions 1. Preheat the oven to 350 F and grease baking pans of choice. Line bottoms with parchment paper. (Two 8-inch round pans work best.) 2. In a large bowl, sift flour and mix in sugar, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder. 3. In a small bowl, combine lemon juice and soy milk. Leave the mixture to sit for about a minute so it can curdle into buttermilk. 4. Add milk mixture, vanilla, oil, vinegar, and food coloring to the flour mixture, stirring well to break up large clumps. 5. Pour batter into pans and bake for 20 minutes. 6. Cool cakes completely before frosting with icing of choice.
