Conclusion The present study contributed empirical data to the growing literature on the
relationship of attachment theory to spiritual maturity. Strong significant correlations
between secure adult attachment for total and vertical spiritual maturity were found. To a lesser degree secure adult attachment was related to horizontal faith maturity. Not withstanding the limitations and need for further research, the implications of an attachment approach to spiritual maturity offers promising possibilities for future research and the future training ofChristian leaders. conceptual framework for organizing and motivating empirical research in the area of
spiritual maturity
